What was your favorite Valentine’s Day?

What was your favorite Valentine Day? Do you think about it very often? This is a picture of my husband and I which was taken for our fiftieth anniversary last summer. We married in August. This picture was sort of a remake of our dating year and shot in Diamond Point Park in Bemidji. We’d wanted to recreate it but, of course, that’s not possible. We wore similar clothes and then went to change and the family joined us for pictures. Our grandson, Brendan, who is a professional photographer, took the pictures. I’ll make a plug for him- https://brendancurtisphtography.myportfolio.com/.
After pictures then we all went to eat at Rutgers Birchmont Lodge which was absolutely delicious. Then, back to our house where we’d set out pictures galore and had a number of slides ready for showing. Our boys and grandchildren had fun looking and watching.  It was my forever Valentine’s Day.

Then, of course, we have Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy!  They fell in love at first sight! They fell in love in 1976 but the Muppet Movie in 1979, sealed their love, however, they did eventually fall out of love but I think they just got tired.

In my picture book, Martha Washington's Big Day you see how much the First Lady and President really loved each other.  I tried to stay true to what her first few days were like as First Lady, and they sure were tough. It’s basically historical fiction but still I wrote through the eyes of a slave’s doll.

Enjoy and please feel free to follow and to share.
